Fire risk and thunderstorms: storm warning issued for almost all of Kazakhstan

Almaty Region — extreme heat of up to 42 degrees Celsius is expected in the south of the region during the day. Extreme fire danger persists in the north, while high fire danger remains in the western, southern, eastern, and central areas. In Konaev, high fire danger remains in effect.
Mangystau Region — rain and thunderstorms are forecast for the northern, western, and central districts. Northwesterly winds in the west, south, and center will gust at 15-20 meters per second. High fire danger is expected across the region. In Aktau, rain and thunderstorms are expected tonight and tomorrow morning.
Akmola Region — rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected in the west and north during the day. Westerly winds in these areas will occasionally gust to 15-20 meters per second. Daytime temperatures will reach a high of 35 degrees Celsius. High fire danger remains in the western, southern, and eastern parts of the region. Aktobe region — rain, thunderstorms, and daytime hail are forecast for the west, north, and east. Southwesterly and westerly winds in the south and east will gust at 15-20 meters per second overnight; during the day, gusts will reach 15-20 meters per second, occasionally hitting 23 meters per second in the north and east. Highs of 37 degrees Celsius are expected in the south and east. High fire danger persists in the west, east, and center, while extreme fire risk remains in the south and east. In Aktobe intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected, with hail during the day. Southwesterly and westerly winds will gust at 15-20 meters per second, occasionally reaching 23 meters per second.

Kostanay Region — rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west, north, and east of the region, with hail and squalls during the day. Fog is forecast for the west and north of the region overnight and in the morning. Southwesterly winds in the west, north, and east will reach 15-20 meters per second. Intense heat of 37 degrees is expected in the south of the region during the day. High fire danger remains in the east and center of the region, while extreme fire hazard persists in the south. In Kostanay rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day. Winds will be southwesterly, with daytime gusts of 15-20 meters per second.
North Kazakhstan Region — rain is expected during the day, with thunderstorms and hail in the west, north, and south, and squalls in the south of the region.
