Finance Ministry speaks up for greater transparency

Kazakhstan’s Finance Ministry plans to inform general public on the National Fund assets and state budget parameters, Tengrinews.kz reports. On its website, the Ministry has launched a new section to regularly update the general public on the National Oil Fund and the state budget parameters. “The Finance Ministry has studied “civil” budgets practices in a raft of countries. Approaches may vary… The prime task of the Finance Ministry is to make the information available for the general public, securing greater transparency”, Berik Sholpankulov, Vice Minister of Finance, said when speaking at a round-table discussion in Astana today.
