Tengrinews.kz – An exciting drone show is planned to take place in Almaty.
The drone show will be featured during the international festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Tengri on June 8 at 10:00 PM.
“The grand finale of the festival will be a spectacular drone show, where viewers will see the silhouettes of great figures of Kazakh spirituality – Abai, Kurmangazy, and Korkyt – as well as iconic symbols of Almaty and Kazakhstan. The sky will become a canvas for a mesmerizing light performance. It will be beautiful, soulful, and truly authentic – like the sound of the dombra in the evening air, like living legends on the starry sky,” said the organizers.
The festival, which brings together musicians and audiences from around the world, will be held on June 7–8 in Abai Square under the open sky. It is open to all guests and residents of Almaty, as entrance to The Spirit of Tengri is always free.
Performers from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Bashkortostan, Uzbekistan, Russia, the UK, Italy, South Korea, and Colombia will take the stage in the center of Almaty.
On June 7, the following will perform:
- Steppe Sons & Samrattama & Dudeontheguitar – bright representatives of the new wave, bringing freshness and originality to the national sound;
- Kalander – a joint project of musicians from Russia and the UK, creating a unique sonic space where ancient rituals meet modern electronic aesthetics;

The evening's atmosphere will be supported by DJ MNTPNSR, whose electronic sets give new life to musical heritage.
