Tengrinews.kz - The exchange rate of the dollar was established during trading in Kazakhstan on November 5.
According to the results of daily trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), the average weighted dollar exchange rate was 488.91 tenge, down by 0.24 tenge. The official rate set by the National Bank of Kazakhstan for the same date stands at 489.36 tenge per dollar.
According to kurs.kz, the current average dollar exchange rate in Almaty exchange offices is 488.99 tenge for buying and 490.53 tenge for selling. In Astana, the average buying rate is 487.98 tenge, while the selling rate is 492.97 tenge.
For reference, on November 4, the average weighted dollar rate at KASE closed at 489.36 tenge, marking an increase of 1.09 tenge.
Earlier, the Chairman of Kazakhstan’s National Bank, Timur Suleimenov, commented on the tenge's volatility, advising a shift in focus away from the dollar. Suleimenov explained that currency fluctuations are a constant factor.
