"The Kazakhs are the heirs of the unique civilization of the Great Steppe and the traditions of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia. The state that emerged after the collapse of the Golden Horde as the Kazakh Khanate, founded in 1465, was later reborn as an independent country - the modern Republic of Kazakhstan, which will celebrate its 35th anniversary next year. With a population of almost 20 million people, Kazakhstan occupies an important place among the world's 40 leading economies thanks to a number of economic and political reforms. Under the leadership of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, political reforms are being successfully implemented, which allows us to celebrate this historic moment today - the opening of the Euronews office in Kazakhstan. We will inform an international audience about the culture, economy and heritage of Kazakhstan, working with Kazakh entrepreneurs and artists, as well as creating original TV shows that will present the new realities and bright future of Kazakhstan," he said.
Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva believes that the launch of Euronews is an important event for the information sphere of Kazakhstan.
"The head of state sets us a clear task to popularize Kazakhstan's culture and tourism, as well as investment potential, and I am sure that the opening of the regional office of Euronews in Kazakhstan will give a new impetus to this work. This office will become an important platform for dialogue between cultures, as well as for the promotion of new ideas and creative solutions. I am sure that projects will be born here that will not only strengthen mutual understanding between countries, but also contribute to the global media space," the minister said.
