Mels Eleusizov, now an ex presidential candidate, plans to form an environmental party, Tengrinews.kz reports. Today, April 4, he met journalists in Astana. “I still plan to raise environment issues. I have brought them to a higher level and I am not going to get relaxed with that”, he said. “I realized the time had come to launch an environmentalist party. I didn’t think of it earlier the general public was not interested”, he said. Mr. Eleusizov reiterated that the presidential elections had been fair and free. “It was a fair competition”, he summed up. According to Central Election Commission (CEC), Mr. Eleusizov gained 1.2% of the votes.
