Tengrinews.kz - A 68-year-old resident of Almaty, Vyacheslav Yugai, knocked on the pilot's cabin door due to issues with air conditioning and ventilation on board. As a result, an administrative case was filed against him.
The Supreme Court's Telegram channel reports that on June 1, a man and 179 passengers on an Air Astana flight were stranded on a defective aircraft. While they tried to start the engine for an hour and a half, the air conditioning in the cabin was not working. Due to the lack of information from the crew, passengers began to panic.
"My wife and I are elderly and we have breathing problems. While everyone was waiting for instructions from the flight commander and the senior flight attendant was unable to contact him, I knocked on the cockpit door. This led to an administrative case. Only after that the commander allowed the doors of the aircraft to be opened, which alleviated our suffering," Yugai recalls the events of that day.
The press service reported that the man was issued a protocol for petty hooliganism. It stated that he behaved aggressively towards the airline staff.
"Yugai did not admit his guilt. In court, he claimed that he did not curse or violate public order. There is no evidence of his guilt in the case, and the video recording shows that he did not show disrespect to others or breach the order," the court's statement says.
As a result, the case against Yugai was dismissed due to the absence of an offense.
Vyacheslav Yugay thanked the judge of the Specialised Interdistrict Court on Administrative Offences of Almaty, Timur Raisov, for the fair consideration of the case.
