By the end of the daytime trading session on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), the weighted average dollar exchange rate stood at 520.91 tenge, down by 6.16 tenge. The official exchange rate set by the National Bank for January 22 is 527.58 tenge per dollar.
According to kurs.kz, the average buying rate of the dollar at exchange offices in Almaty is currently 521.26 tenge, with a selling rate of 524.35 tenge. In Astana, the dollar is being bought at an average of 522.29 tenge and sold for 526.05 tenge.
Previously, the tenge strengthened against the dollar during trading on January 21 in Kazakhstan, following the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump.
