The dollar exchange rate settled at 494.87 tenge during daytime trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on November 21, a drop of 0.47 tenge. The official rate set by the National Bank for the day stands at 495.20 tenge per dollar.
According to kurs.kz, the current average exchange rate for buying dollars at Almaty exchange offices is 495.29 tenge, while the selling rate is 497.37 tenge. In Astana, the average buying rate is 494.01 tenge, and the selling rate is 498.98 tenge.
For reference, the weighted average dollar exchange rate on KASE on November 20 was 495.20 tenge, down 1.98 tenge from the previous session.
Earlier, Deputy Governor of the National Bank Vitaliy Tutushkin commented on the rising dollar exchange rate.
