Tengrinews.kz — The dollar exchange rate was set at Kazakhstan’s trading session on December 23.
Following the results of daytime trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), the weighted average U.S. dollar rate stood at 510.18 tenge, down by 4.98 tenge. For reference, the official National Bank rate for December 23 is 515.02 tenge per dollar.
Recall that on December 4, the weighted average dollar rate at KASE was 499.65 tenge. This meant the rate fell below the “psychological threshold” of 500 tenge per dollar, considered an important level for the market. On December 22, the weighted average dollar rate was 515.02 tenge, down by 2.55 tenge.
According to kurs.kz, the current average dollar rates at exchange offices in Astana and Almaty are:

- Buying: 511.25 tenge;
- Selling: 513.58 tenge.
