Tengrinews.kz — A large-scale search is underway in Mangystau region for 18-year-old Azamat Duisekhanov, who went missing in the afternoon of July 7 near the O'Mir resort hotel, located about 48 kilometers from Aktau, citing Lada.kz.

According to relatives, the young man was celebrating his birthday with friends that day. At around 3:00 p.m., he disappeared near the sea. Since then, nothing has been known about his whereabouts.

The search operation is currently being carried out by Emergency Situations Department employees, as well as Azamat’s relatives, friends and loved ones.

The regional Emergency Situations Department said 32 employees are involved in the search operation, including 11 members of the emergency rescue unit, along with 4 pieces of equipment, 3 watercraft and 8 unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, 5 divers and one piece of equipment from the naval forces, as well as 5 divers and one piece of equipment from the Border Service of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee, have been involved in the operation.

In total, 53 people, 6 pieces of equipment, 3 watercraft, 10 divers and 8 unmanned aerial vehicles are taking part in the search and rescue operation.

According to rescuers, the air temperature in the search area is +30°C, the water temperature is +22°C, the weather is cloudy, and the easterly wind speed is 4 meters per second.

Relatives are appealing to all concerned residents to join the search. Help is especially needed from volunteers, drone operators and boat owners.

The family is also asking anyone who was in the area of the resort hotel on July 7, or who has any information that could help with the search, to come forward.
