Departure from Astana closed due to worsening weather conditions

Tengrinews.kz – The road from Astana towards Petropavlovsk has been closed due to worsening weather conditions.

According to "KazAvtoZhol," starting from 7:00 AM on February 13, due to deteriorating weather conditions (ground blizzards, gusty winds, and visibility reduced to 50 meters), traffic restrictions will be imposed for all types of vehicles on the Astana - Petropavlovsk national highway, from kilometers 18 to 232, covering the stretch from Astana to Shchuchinsk. The closed section spans 214 kilometers.

The road is tentatively expected to reopen at 5:00 PM on February 13.

In the capital, meteorologists forecast partly cloudy weather on February 13, with occasional light snow and ground blizzards. The southwest wind will blow at 15-20 m/s, with gusts reaching 23-28 m/s during the day. The air temperature will be -13 to -15°C at night and -5 to -7°C during the day.
