Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha is to come to Kazakhstan on a working visit, Novosti Kazakhstan reports, quoting CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zeinetdinov. “During his trip he is to meet President Nazarbayev, Foreign Minister Erzhan Kazykhanov, Aide to President and Secretary of the Security Council Marat Tazhin”, Mr. Zeinetdinov said. August 12 Nikolai Bordyuzha is to attend the informal summit of CSTO heads of state in Astana which will focus on security in Central Asia and military cooperation within the Organization. The Collective Security Treaty Organization, formed under the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States 15 May 1992, serves as a mutual defense alliance among Russia, Belarus, Armenia and the four Central Asian states except Turkmenistan. Nikolai Bordyuzha is a Russian general and politician. On April 28, 2003, he was appointed Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
