Tengrinews.kz – A section of the suspended ceiling collapsed in a shopping and entertainment center in Ekibastuz, causing panic among visitors.
The incident occurred on February 16 at 6:05 PM on the third floor of the four-story Maxi Mall, according to the city's administration.

"The suspended gypsum board ceiling collapsed. There were no fatalities or serious injuries, and emergency services are working at the scene," officials stated.
Footage of the collapse quickly spread on social media, showing a massive section of the ceiling crashing down.
Shocked visitors recorded the aftermath from different floors, with voices heard calling out names - likely searching for loved ones.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations later confirmed that the collapsed area measured 150 square meters and initially reported no injuries.
However, local authorities later stated that five people sought medical assistance, including three children born in 2008 and 2009.
"The injured sustained minor bruises and do not require hospitalization," the administration clarified, adding that they were prescribed outpatient treatment.
Emergency officials have temporarily closed the mall as investigations continue. Reports indicate that the collapse occurred in the food court area on the third floor.
