Tengrinews.kz - A cache of firearms was found along the route of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's motorcade in the Turkestan region.
During a security check of the motorcade's route, officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee, along with other authorities, discovered the weapons cache.
An investigation has been launched regarding this incident.
"Currently, a comprehensive set of operational-search and investigative activities is underway to determine all circumstances and apprehend the suspects. Further information will not be disclosed in the interest of the investigation," stated the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in the Turkestan region for a working visit. His trip began with a visit to the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
