Brazil to open aircraft maintenance centers in Kazakhstan

Brazil is to open aircraft maintenance centers in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the Press Service of the Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry. July 25 Foreign Ministry spokesman Ilyas Omarov tallied results of the Kazakhstan’s delegation’s visit to Latin America. The Kazakh delegation headed by the Ministry’s Executive Secretary Rapil Zhoshybayev had talks with leaders of foreign ministries of Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela and Guyana. “The sides are preparing to sign an MoU between KazAgroInnovatsiya and Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation EMBRAPA. Brazil reiterated its interest to non-extraction sectors of the Kazakhstan’s economy. Embraer [commercial aircraft company] is seeking to launch aircraft maintenance centers in Kazakhstan. Besides, Brazil is interested in developing space programs”, Mr. Omarov said. On top of that, “Brazil expressed hope that Kazakhstan will launch its diplomatic representation office in Brasilia to boost bilateral cooperation”.
