Kazakhstan’s bank assets as of May 1 made up $85.85 billion, growing by 0.7% in April, the Press Service of the National Bank reported June 2. Assets denominated in foreign currencies made up 32.1% of the total assets, reaching $27.5 billion. Banks’ loan portfolio (including inter-bank loans) as of May 1 stood at $63.37 billion, growing by 0.7% in April, with 48.2% of the loans being denominated in foreign currencies.
