He added that some of the injured have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries and severe damage. Treatment is being provided at a hospital in Aktau.

"High-quality medical care was provided to the injured in Kazakhstan," said Ilgar Gasimov.

On December 26, 14 Azerbaijani citizens injured in the plane crash and 20 members of a delegation that arrived in Aktau on December 25 returned to their homeland.

Among those who returned home were two flight attendants and one child. They received necessary treatment in the hospital and left for Baku after their condition stabilized.
