The three-year budget project of Astana was considered at the meeting. As reported by the Deputy Head of the Department of Economy and Budget Planning Aizhan Tugelbaeva, the expenditure part of the budget is aimed at improving the standard and quality of life of city residents.
In particular, more than 60 billion tenge have been allocated for the expenses of the public health department, including about 20 billion tenge in 2025, within the framework of which 31 healthcare institutions will be provided with material and technical equipment in the amount of 6.7 billion tenge, and 4.4 billion tenge have been planned for the major repairs of 4 medical organizations in the city.
The procurement of medicines for rare (orphan) diseases will be ensured, at least 470 thousand people are planned to be vaccinated against viral hepatitis A and influenza, and also sent for advanced training and retraining of medical workers.
More than 747 billion tenge are allocated for the expenses of the education department, including more than 248 billion tenge in 2025, including for ensuring the activities, maintenance of comprehensive schools, training and resolving issues related to improving the quality and accessibility of educational services, maintenance of 105 public schools, three special correctional boarding schools for children with disabilities, four schools for gifted children, the purchase and delivery of textbooks, training of specialists in technical and vocational education organizations.
"140 billion 522 million tenge have been allocated for the construction department's expenses, including 69 billion 192 million tenge in 2025 for the purchase of apartments for working youth, for the construction of housing and the installation of engineering and communications infrastructure. In order to solve the problem of overcrowding in the capital's schools, it is planned to allocate funds to continue the construction of schools and extensions, as well as the design of healthcare, cultural and sports facilities and the development of social and engineering infrastructure in the outskirts," Tugelbaeva said.
In 2025, it is planned to commission 44.4 thousand square meters of housing, 6 schools, as well as 1,050 rental apartments for young people.
The total volume of city expenditures for 2025-2027 is 2 trillion 977 billion 743.5 million tenge, the volume of expenditures for 2025 is planned at 925 billion 82.5 million tenge, in 2026 - 987.2 billion tenge, in 2027 - 1 trillion 65 billion 472.2 million tenge.
Following the meeting, the Public Council approved the presented budget.
