Tengrinews.kz - The electronic format of personal medical (sanitary) books has been introduced in Kazakhstan. Citizens can now access their medical examination results and sanitary book data through the E-Densaulyk service in the eGov mobile app, significantly reducing the time required for medical check-ups and eliminating the need for repeated visits to a therapist, according to the Ministry of Healthcare.
When a sanitary book is ready, Kazakhstanis receive an SMS notification from the number 1414.
Employers can verify the validity of employees' medical books through the free labor resources portal hr.enbek.kz, simplifying compliance with sanitary regulations and preventing potential errors.
According to the Ministry of Health, the electronic system covers 15 categories of workers, including those in the food service industry, pharmacies, sanatoriums, service sector, and medical personnel. Regular medical check-ups for these categories are conducted either annually or every six months.
"With the transition of personal medical books to an electronic format, the process of obtaining and verifying them has become easier and faster for both citizens and employers," the ministry stated.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced that for citizens' convenience, eight types of medical certificates, including medical books and sick leave certificates, are being transitioned from paper to electronic format.
