Tengrinews.kz - One of the entrances to Almaty International Airport will be temporarily closed.
Details were provided by the airport’s press service:
“Due to repair works, the entrance to the ramp near the Aksunkar Hotel will be temporarily closed. The works will include improving waterproofing, upgrading the heating system, and laying new asphalt,” the airport stated.
During the repair period, access to the ramp will be available via a new entrance (see traffic diagram).

The airport apologized for any temporary inconvenience.
Earlier in August, Almaty launched the Horizon program, which aims to transform the airport into a “world-class aviation hub.” The project consists of five phases, with the first covering 130 facilities and costing $362 million. Funding will come from the airport’s own resources, bank loans, and private investments — without state guarantees or budget subsidies.
