Tengrinews.kz – Government officials in Aktobe Region will switch to a new work schedule starting April 21, 2025. This was announced by the press secretary of the regional akim, Gulbagda Kobeeva.
From that date, civil servants in Aktobe will begin their workday 30 minutes earlier. The new schedule sets working hours from 08:30 to 17:30. The order was signed by regional akim Askhat Shakharov.
"We confirm that according to the akim's order, the regional akim's office, regional departments, and the Aktobe city akimat will switch to the new schedule: 8:30 АМ to 5:30 РМ. Lunch break will be from 12:30 РМ to 1:30 РМ," Kobeeva told a Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
According to official information, the decision to change the schedule was made collectively. More than 70% of civil servants supported the initiative in an internal survey.
"Employees noted the convenience of starting and ending the workday earlier. The changes aim to increase the efficiency of public services and improve service quality for citizens," Kobeeva added.
Currently, civil servants in the region work from 09:00 АМ to 6:30 РМ, with lunch from 12:30 АМ to 2:00 РМ.
