Aktau plane crash: Identity of one surviving woman established

According to the latest information, 27 survivors are being treated at the Mangystau Regional Hospital. Among them are 15 Azerbaijani citizens, 8 Russian citizens, 3 Kyrgyz citizens, and one unidentified individual.
"11 patients are in the general intensive care unit, 13 in traumatology, two in neurosurgery, and one in general surgery. The injuries vary, primarily multiple traumas, including closed head injuries, concussions, closed chest injuries, and traumatic shock of the 1st and 2nd degrees," the press service of the regional hospital reported.
Of the 11 patients in intensive care, three are in stable but critical condition, seven are in serious condition, and one is in extremely critical, unstable condition.
"Upon admission, all patients underwent necessary examinations and were stabilized before being assigned to appropriate departments. One patient underwent emergency laparotomy to repair a mesenteric tear in the large intestine with drainage of the abdominal cavity," the press service added.
Specialized medical teams from Astana’s National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine and leading Republican centers, along with a medical aircraft from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Healthcare, Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, and an Azerbaijani medevac team, have arrived in Aktau to assist.
On December 26, a medevac aircraft from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated Russian citizens.
Psychological support teams are working with survivors and their families.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Ministry for Emergency Situations released the names of Kazakh citizens who died in the plane crash near Aktau.
Azerbaijan Airlines also published a full list of passengers.
Earlier, Aktau residents volunteered to donate blood to the survivors in the regional hospital.
Recall: The Azerbaijan Airlines flight, en route from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Grozny (Russia), crashed three kilometers from Aktau at 11:30 A.M. local time on December 25. The passenger plane was unable to land in Grozny due to heavy fog and was first diverted to Makhachkala before being redirected to Aktau.
