Abnormal heat up to +46 is coming to Kazakhstan

Where rain and thunderstorms are expected

According to forecasters, on July 16–18, with the passage of a northwestern cyclone and associated atmospheric fronts, unstable weather is expected in western, northern, central and eastern Kazakhstan. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast, while heavy precipitation is expected in places on July 16 and 17. Hail and squally winds are also possible.

Amid the precipitation, the heat in western Kazakhstan will gradually begin to ease. During the day, air temperatures will reach +22...+35°C, while in the north, a short-term drop to +21...+36°C is expected.

Where abnormal heat will persist

Very intense heat of up to +41°C will persist in the central and eastern regions of Kazakhstan.

The hottest weather is expected in the south, southeast and in places in the southwest of Kazakhstan. Hot air masses coming from Central Asia will continue to influence these regions. Forecasters predict mostly dry weather there. Only in the mountainous areas of the southeast are short-term thunderstorm rains possible. During the day, temperatures will rise to +41...+46°C, which is above the climatic norm.
