Kairat Abdrakhmanov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria and a permanent representative of Kazakhstan in Vienna-based international organizations. He was appointed by a presidential decree, the official website of the President reports. Kairat Abdrakhmanov was born in 1964 in Panfilov town (Almaty oblast). In 1987 he graduated from the History Department of the Kazakh State University. Between 2001 to 2003 he served as Adviser-Envoy of Kazakhstan Embassy in UK. March 2006 to August 2007 – as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. August 2007 to September 2008 – Ambassador in Austria, permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Since December 2008 – permanent representative of Kazakhstan to OSCE.
