A Just Kazakhstan is impossible without fighting corruption: Tokayev makes key announcement

Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced new measures to strengthen the fight against corruption in Kazakhstan, emphasizing that building a Just Kazakhstan is impossible without eradicating this problem, according to Akorda.

The Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan must be a safe country, and therefore the principle of “Law and Order” has become fundamental to society.

“As part of this principle, we will intensify the fight against corruption — without it, there are no grounds to speak of a Just Kazakhstan,” Tokayev said.

He noted that over the past five years, the crime rate — including street crime — has significantly decreased, and the overall criminal situation remains under strict control. Cases of domestic violence have also declined.

“Foreign experts are showing increased interest in Kazakhstan’s experience in this area,” Tokayev pointed out.

Ultimately, he added, the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept is one of the key instruments for building a bright and secure future for the country.
