Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the European Union’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduards Stiprais, according to a statement from Akorda.
Welcoming the high-level EU representative at Akorda, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of further strengthening multifaceted cooperation with the European Union — one of Kazakhstan’s key and reliable partners.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations was the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, the 10th anniversary of which is being marked this year.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also highly praised the active and constructive dialogue between the Central Asian countries and the EU.
In turn, Eduards Stiprais expressed the European Union’s commitment to further strengthening relations with Kazakhstan, expressing confidence in the dynamic development of practical cooperation across a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.
