During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that his state visit to Hungary holds significant importance in elevating bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
The President of Kazakhstan particularly highlighted the role of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
"I welcome the strengthening of ties between the legislative bodies of Kazakhstan and Hungary. I believe this will also contribute to fostering mutual understanding between our peoples. Taking this opportunity, I would like to once again invite you to visit Kazakhstan," Tokayev said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that joint efforts in this area would give new momentum to expanding trade and economic cooperation and deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.
The President also underscored the importance of enhancing collaboration in education and inter-university exchanges.
"Just now, I met with Kazakh students studying at Hungary's leading universities. It is important to continue supporting the younger generation and increasing the number of Kazakh students in your country. Connections between the youth of our two nations will serve as a 'golden bridge' between our peoples," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his comprehensive support in developing inter-parliamentary cooperation and expressed readiness to make every effort to further strengthen these ties.
He also emphasized the need for a comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership across the entire spectrum of bilateral issues.
The two leaders exchanged views on the international situation.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Laszlo Kover took a joint tour of the Hungarian Parliament building.
