Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State met with the Crown Prince of Kuwait in Baku, according to a report from Akorda.

On the sidelines of the COP 29 World Climate Action Summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al Sabah. The head of state noted that Kuwait is an important partner for Kazakhstan in the Arab world.

"The President emphasized the steady development of bilateral political dialogue and economic cooperation, reaffirming Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kuwait. He also expressed confidence that Kuwait has the potential to become one of the major investors in Kazakhstan’s economy, citing the successful activities of Kuwaiti companies as an example," the Akorda report states.

The two parties agreed to enhance trade and economic ties with a focus on implementing joint investment projects.

Special attention was given to cooperation within multilateral frameworks, including the GCC-Central Asia Summit.

"At the end of the conversation, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended an invitation to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al Sabah, to visit Kazakhstan," Akorda's press service noted.

On November 11, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku for a working visit. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan is holding meetings with heads of state, leaders of international organizations, and business representatives.

The Head of State also spoke at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit, which is part of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. After the opening of the plenary session, the first speaker was the President of Kazakhstan.
