Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit on September 16. He was greeted at the Astana airport by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Olaf Scholz held negotiations in the extended format with the participation of official delegations.
The President emphasized the special importance of the Chancellor's first official visit to Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that this meeting would elevate the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany to a new level.
As noted by the Head of State, Germany is one of Kazakhstan's main trading partners and ranks among the leading investors in its economy.
Both sides confirmed their interest in expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, the green transition, mining, transportation and logistics, climate protection, ecology, and agriculture.
The prospects for strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Germany were also discussed.
