Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the brand Qazaq Organicfood, with the right strategy, could take a worthy place in the international market. He said this during the second Forum of Agricultural Workers.
The President emphasized that Kazakhstan must promote its products more actively on global markets.
“Our country is among the top ten global exporters of wheat and holds leading positions in flour supply. In addition to traditional markets in Central Asia, Iran, and Afghanistan, Kazakhstan has begun supplying grain to several countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, and North Africa — in particular, Belgium, Portugal, Norway, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Morocco, and Algeria. The geography of our grain exports is expanding,” he said.
The Head of State clarified that Kazakhstan is becoming a major exporter of oilseeds and vegetable oils.
“In 2024, we entered the top ten suppliers of lamb meat, with a volume of almost 18 thousand tons — and this is not the limit. Overall, agricultural exports exceed five billion dollars, include more than 200 types of agricultural products, and reach 70 countries. But the potential of our agro-industrial complex is much greater than these figures. Global demand for food — especially environmentally clean products — continues to grow steadily. Therefore, our brand Qazaq Organicfood, with the right strategy, can take its rightful niche in the international market,” the President noted.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reminded that Kazakhstan has approved standards for organic production.
“We must continue systematic work in this direction. The task of specialized agencies, as well as our embassies abroad, is to actively help promote our brands,” he said.
He also took time during his speech to thank agricultural workers. He emphasized that agriculture “has always been at the center of the state’s attention.”
