Tengrinews.kz – An informal meeting between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to take place in Almaty on March 29.
"During the talks, the heads of state plan to discuss prospects for further strengthening the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance, as well as regional issues," the statement reads.
In addition, the presidents will visit several sites in the city and attend an exhibition dedicated to artificial intelligence.
It is worth noting that on March 18, Tokayev spoke with the President of Uzbekistan over the phone. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. The upcoming meeting schedule was also discussed during the conversation.
