During the conversation, the two leaders noted with satisfaction the high momentum in the development of Kazakh-Uzbek relations.
The presidents discussed pressing issues regarding the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including the practical implementation of agreements reached during the heads of state meeting in Bukhara this April.
"The importance of active contacts between presidential administrations, governments, and relevant agencies was emphasized to ensure the steady development of bilateral cooperation and the advancement of joint initiatives," the Akorda press service noted.
The counterparts also exchanged views on key issues of the regional and international agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.
As a reminder, on June 21, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, they discussed the further expansion of the partnership between the two countries in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. An exchange of views took place regarding the systemic political and socio-economic reforms being implemented in both nations.
Tokayev and Mirziyoyev launch new joint projects
On May 29 of this year, a signing ceremony for the roadmap for trade and economic cooperation was held in Astana in the presence of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The signing of the roadmap serves as a practical follow-up to the agreements reached during the Kazakh President's state visit to Uzbekistan on November 14-15, 2025.
The document's new projects cover industry, petrochemistry, logistics, metallurgy, the agro-industrial complex, tourism, and green energy.
