Tengrinews.kz — On 24 December, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at a meeting on the development of Astana, citing Akorda.
During his address, the President noted that the capital is moving forward confidently, demonstrating impressive growth rates. He also stated that in the Oxford Economics 2025 ranking, Astana took 36th place in Asia.
“I must say that, finally, in the person of Akim (governor) Jenis Qasymbek I have found someone who understands what I want and what I demand. Before that, I don’t even want to talk about it, but there was no understanding,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during the meeting.
It is noted that during the meeting the President instructed the Akim of Astana to complete the implementation of the Smart City project as soon as possible.
The Head of State also stressed that creating the most comfortable conditions for citizens to live and work should be the main priority for akims at all levels.
