Tengrinews.kz - Spring is gradually taking hold in Astana and Almaty, bringing warmer temperatures and mostly dry conditions, though some fog and occasional rain are still expected in the capital, according to Kazhydromet.
Astana: Fog, light rain, and warmer days
April 9: Partly cloudy with a chance of light rain during the day. Fog expected at night and in the morning. Southwesterly wind at 3–8 m/s at night, reaching up to 12 m/s during the day. Temperatures: +3…+5°C at night, rising to +18…+20°C in the afternoon.
April 10: Mostly cloudy but dry. Fog will persist at night and in the morning. Southern to southwesterly wind at 9–14 m/s. Temperatures: +7…+9°C at night, +20…+22°C during the day.
April 11: Dry conditions continue, but winds will strengthen to 15–20 m/s during the day. Temperatures: +10…+12°C at night, up to +21…+23°C during the day.
The weather in the capital remains changeable but increasingly pleasant – while umbrellas may not be needed, warmer layers are still recommended for chilly mornings.
Almaty: Warm and dry
April 9: Partly cloudy with no precipitation. Light eastern wind at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures: +8…+10°C at night, +20…+22°C during the day.
April 10: Clear skies with no rain. Southeastern wind at 3–8 m/s. Nighttime temperatures of +8…+10°C and daytime highs of +21…+23°C.
April 11: Continued dry and warm weather. Southeastern wind at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures range from +8…+10°C at night to +22…+24°C during the day.
