The ceremony took place on May 28 at the presidential residence in the capital.

During the event, the heads of state introduced members of their respective delegations.

The commander of the honour guard company delivered a welcome report to the presidents. The national anthems of Kazakhstan and Rwanda were also performed.

Earlier, it was reported that President Kagame would hold talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation. The two sides are also expected to sign several agreements.
