According to Zhandos Batyrbekov, deputy head of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 2,300 units of weapons have been seized from illegal circulation since the beginning of the year.

“Only in October, more than 400 units of weapons were seized, among them automatic rifles, shotguns, carbines, traumatic and gas pistols, as well as more than 3,200 rounds of ammunition, including explosive devices and explosives,” the ministry said.

A total of 17 units of criminal weapons were seized, including 8 units stolen during the January Events, with the rest being previously lost and illegally circulated weapons.
