Tengrinews.kz - The ceremonial launch of the new branded train from Astana to Borovoe will take place on December 13, according to the press service of the Astana akimat.
The Local Government Administration (akimat) noted that the new tourist train is a joint project of the akimats of Astana, Akmola region and JSC "Passenger Transportation." The train includes carriages manufactured at the Kazakhstani plant ZIKSTO. The carriages are equipped with a modern air conditioning system, a lift, and places for people with disabilities, as well as an eco-friendly toilet.
The train will run between the stations of Nurly Zhol (Astana) and the resort of Borovoe without stops. Travel time is 2 hours 26 minutes. Ticket price: from the station of Nurly Zhol - 2770 tenge, from the station of Astana - 2548 tenge.
A unique design of carriages was developed for the launch of the train. The exterior design includes images of iconic landmarks of Astana and Borovoe, such as Baiterek, Monument "Kazakh Eli", the Nur-Alem Museum, and landscapes of the Shchuchinsk-Borovoye resort area.
In addition, an audio tour will be available during the trip. Passengers will be able to learn facts about the history, culture, and natural resources of Astana and Borovoe.
