Cyclone to bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, and hail
According to meteorologists, weather across most of Kazakhstan over the coming days will be shaped by a northwestern cyclone and its associated atmospheric fronts. Thunderstorms and rain are expected, with potential for hail, squally winds, and dust storms.
Heavy precipitation is forecast for:
- June 25 — in the northwest and north of the country;
- June 25–26 — in eastern Kazakhstan;
- June 26–27 — in the west and northwest of the republic.
Temperature outlook
Under the influence of the cyclone, temperatures in the northwestern, northern, and central regions of Kazakhstan are expected to drop. Readings will fall to 23–28 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, southern and eastern regions of Kazakhstan will remain under the influence of dry, warm air masses arriving from the Ashgabat area. Hot weather will persist in these regions, with temperatures ranging from 33–38 degrees, and localized extreme heat of up to 40–42 degrees is forecast.
