Macron's message was written in both Kazakh and French.

"Welcome, dear partner, dear friend.

With your state visit, we celebrate the deep friendship that unites Kazakhstan and France, Kazakhs and French people," wrote the French leader.

Earlier, a solemn welcoming ceremony for the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was held at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
