Astana weather forecast
December 20: Partly cloudy with occasional snow and blowing snow. Ice on the roads is expected. Southwesterly wind at 9–14 m/s, gusting to 15–20 m/s. Temperatures will be -4 to -6°C at night and during the day, with further cooling expected.
December 21: Partly cloudy with occasional snow and blowing snow. Winds shifting from southwest to northwest at 9–14 m/s. Temperatures will drop to -11 to -13°C at night and -9 to -11°C during the day.
December 22: Partly cloudy with snow during the day and blowing snow. Fog expected at night and in the morning. Westerly and southwesterly winds at 5–10 m/s at night and 9–14 m/s during the day. Temperatures will range from -15 to -17°C at night to -6 to -8°C during the day.
Almaty weather forecast
December 20: Partly cloudy with mixed precipitation (rain and snow) during the day. Ice is expected on roads. Southwesterly winds at 3–8 m/s, with gusts up to 13 m/s during the day. Temperatures will be -4 to -6°C at night and 0 to -2°C during the day.
December 21: Partly cloudy with snow at night and fog. Northeasterly winds at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will be -9 to -11°C at night and -5 to -7°C during the day.
December 22: Partly cloudy with no precipitation. Fog is expected at night and in the morning. Northeasterly winds at 2–7 m/s. Temperatures will drop to -13 to -15°C at night and -5 to -7°C during the day.
Earlier, forecasters clarified the weather forecast for winter 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan. It is noted that in general, the winter temperature regime is expected to be within the climatic norm with precipitation exceeding the long-term norm. However, periods with cessation of precipitation and abnormally low air temperatures are not excluded.
