Snow, fog, and ice across Kazakhstan
Most of Kazakhstan will continue to experience unstable weather conditions due to the passage of atmospheric frontal systems — precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected. In the north, east, and central regions, blowing snow is forecast. Fog and icy conditions are expected throughout the country.
An Arctic anticyclone will bring severe cold
According to meteorologists, by the end of the period an Arctic anticyclone will shift from the Novaya Zemlya region toward western Kazakhstan, bringing a significant drop in temperature.
“Thus, in the northwest on December 8, temperatures are expected to be between –5 and –13°C, and in the northern regions –10 to –15°C, with further cooling,” the statement said.
