Additionally, with the support of Almaty's tourism department, three new camping zones were established and opened within the national park in 2024.
"Light camping structures have been set up in the Maloalmatinskoe Gorge (Alpengrad), near Lake Titova, and on Terra Glade," stated the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife.
According to the national park's website, the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, part of the Northern Tien Shan, are home to a rich and diverse range of plant life, with approximately 2,000 species identified so far. The flora of this protected area remains under study.
The park’s diverse natural environment also supports a wide range of wildlife, inhabiting areas from foothills and forests to alpine zones, glaciers, water bodies, and even nearby settlements.
