Where rain and thunderstorms are expected

According to the forecast, atmospheric fronts will bring rain with thunderstorms, hail and squally winds to western and northwestern Kazakhstan. Heavy precipitation is forecast in some areas.

On July 9, rain with thunderstorms will still persist in eastern Kazakhstan, with heavy rain expected in some areas. After that, the region will see weather without precipitation.

Short-term rain with thunderstorms is also expected in mountainous areas of the south and southeast. Dry and hot weather will persist across the rest of the country.

Where the strongest heat is expected

In the coming days, air temperatures will reach the threshold for strong and very strong heat.

During the day, thermometers will show:

• in western and southeastern Kazakhstan, an increase to +33...+42°C;
• in the northwest, north and center, up to +32...+40°C;
• in the south, up to +38...+45°C;
• in the east, up to +30...+38°C.
