40-degree frost is coming to Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet forecasters have presented the weather forecast for January 15, 16 and 17.

Forty-degree frosts are coming

According to the forecast, in the coming days the weather in Kazakhstan will be shaped by an anticyclone that has shifted from the Novaya Zemlya area, which will lower air temperatures across the entire territory of the republic.

“On January 15, in the northern and eastern regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to minus 30–40 degrees. In the southern regions, nighttime air temperatures will fall to minus 5–13 degrees, and in the southeastern regions to minus 8–17, and in mountainous areas to minus 20–25 degrees,” the forecasters said.

In southern Kazakhstan on January 15–16, heavy precipitation is expected, mainly in the form of snow, with blowing snow and icy conditions. In the southeast of the country on January 16–17, heavy snow, blowing snow, fog, and black ice are forecast.
