Cyclone to bring heavy precipitation

Across most of Kazakhstan, with the passage of a western cyclone and associated frontal systems, precipitation is expected. On 10–11 February in the north, northwest, south, southeast and central regions, and on 11 February in the east, heavy precipitation (rain, snow) is forecast. Ice, blizzard conditions and gusty winds are expected across the country.

What about temperatures?

At the end of the period, under the influence of a ridge of a western anticyclone, precipitation will cease and temperatures will drop:

• in the north, northwest and central regions: at night down to -22…-30°C, during the day to -15…-20°C;
• in the east: at night down to -13…-23°C, during the day to -12…-20°C;
• in the south: at night down to -10…-20°C, during the day from -5°C to +5°C.
