Tengrinews.kz – A video has emerged from the scene of the tragic accident in the Aktobe Region. Among the victims are two children and their parents.
On October 23, a DAF truck and a passenger Gazelle minibus collided on the Samara–Shymkent highway near the village of Belkopa. Preliminary reports indicate that the truck crossed into the oncoming lane. Both drivers and ten passengers died at the scene, including children.
After the collision, the Gazelle was completely crushed — almost nothing remained of the vehicle that was carrying the passengers.
The footage shows debris scattered across the road — parts of the car body, seats, clothing, and passengers’ belongings.
The truck was also severely damaged: its cabin was completely destroyed, the body was nearly gone, and only part of the trailer remained intact. The crash site was cordoned off with tape, while other vehicles, including trucks, continued to pass by on a nearby dirt road.
Traffic on the Samara–Shymkent highway was suspended from 9:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and has now been restored for light vehicles. Heavy trucks are still restricted.

According to the regional akimat, among the victims were two children aged three and nine. Another teenager is in intensive care at the Khromtau District Hospital.
Dauletiyar Tuguzybayev, akim of the Aitekebi District, said the victims included members of two families:
“A mother and her 18-year-old son, a student, and a man with his 3-year-old son were killed. They were traveling to the regional center on personal business. The Gazelle was new — it had only been operating for four months. They left the village at 7 a.m., and the accident occurred around 8:40,” said Tuguzybayev.
Following an order from Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, a government commission has been established to investigate the causes of the tragedy, led by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Yerzhan Sadenov, has taken personal control of the investigation.
“A special investigative team has been dispatched by aircraft from the Ministry’s central office to investigate the incident. The investigation is under the personal supervision of the Interior Minister. By his order, comprehensive assistance will be provided to the victims’ families, including the transportation and burial of the bodies,” previously stated MIA spokesperson Shyngys Alekeshev.
It was earlier reported that the Gazelle was officially engaged in passenger transportation from the Zhurgenov settlement to the regional center.
