Over 300 spots of free Wi-Fi are to be created in Astana, General Director of Astanatelecom Yermek Kuanyshbekov told during an online-conference on Tengrinews.kz website. “The project implemented with technical support of Astanatelecom, a branch of Kazakhtelecom, provides for creation of wireless Internet access areas for general use in public places in Astana (over 300 spots in the city),” Kuanyshbekov replied to one of the readers. Free Wi-Fi Internet is currently available in Astana airport and on Nur Zhol alley from Khan Shatyr mall to the House of Ministries, that was opened on July 4 as part of the Smart Astana project. The project of city administration and Astana Innovation Company is made for innovative development of Astana and is called to modernize the city infrastructure.
