This spring the average speed amounted to 8.8 megabits per second putting the Central Asian country on the 63rd place in the SpeedTest rating. At the moment Kazakhstan occupies the 58th place.

For the first time Kazakhstan became the leader in terms of internet connection speed among CIS countries (post soviet space) by surpassing Russia, Belarus and Azerbaijan.

Worldwide, the fastest and the best quality internet quality connection is available in New Zealand, UAE and Denmark. These countries boast 27 megabit per second mobile Internet speed which is faster then even the broadband Internet speed in Kazakhstan.

The average broadband Internet speed in Kazakhstan now makes 19.08 megabit per second and it holds the 54th place in the rating, which is an increase from this May's 18.46 megabit per second and the 58th place in the rating.

Among CIS countries, Kazakhstan is only surpassed in broadband Internet speed by Russia that has 29.97 megabit per second.

Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan boast 97 megabit per second. Benin, Gambia  and Guinea have the lowest Internet connection speed.
