Kazakh internet connection has gone up four lines and took the 52nd place in the world rating. Among the CIS, Kazakhstan got the 2nd place after Russia that was ranked 1st. The average internet connection in Kazakhstan is 16.95 Mbps, while in Russia it is 24.85 Mbps. This brought Russia its 35th place in the world rating. Uzbekistan has the slowest internet connection in the post-soviet space.
Kazakhstan's ranking is higher than that of Australia, Brazil and a number of European countries. Hong Kong has the fastest internet connection in the world (93.51 Mbps), followed by Singapore (79.82 Mbps) and South Korea (53.93 Mbps). The slowest internet connection in the world was recorded in Burkina Faso, Guinea and Gambia (less than 1.5 Mbps).
As for the mobile internet connection, Kazakhstan has a higher demand for the service than Russia. Specialists considered the correlation between the population and the number of active users. Armenia has the highest demand for mobile internet while Russia is ranked 3rd.
The average mobile internet speed in Kazakhstan, according to Netindex.com, is 6.36 Mbps.
